Bright Day School of Art

Believing in art to foster creativity, critical thinking and hope.

Dominican Republic, Dia Vivo School of This project started as a Bethel Cultural Learning Experience, and has developed into a separate project. Dia Vivo School of Art is an activity in Dominican Republic led by Prof. Dale Johnson to provide poor children in a village location in Dominican Republic with Art training and skills so that they may express their views of life.  Currently, Bethel Art students have culture learning experiences in D.R.  This year Prof. Johnson worked with local officials and purchased a building to house on going art outreach in the community.  Today over 100 children have been given art lesions.  GHI has assisted with disbursement of funds for the purchase of the building and land, as well as travel expenses to D.R. for ministry.
