Equipping Young Women and Children in Liberia

Our Story

In 2016, Evelyn Seton-Boltman felt called to equip and empower young women and their children in Liberia. In the years following Liberia’s civil wars, many girls were left in vulnerable situations or homeless, with limited access to education.

Some of the young women Chance International Outreach serves never had the opportunity to attend school. With boys often given priority for education, girls were left with fewer opportunities to develop the knowledge and skills they would need later in life to support themselves and their families.

Chance International Outreach was established to provide a safe and caring environment where young women and mothers can receive essential support, continue their education, and recognize their God-given value and potential.

Mission
To equip and empower children, young girls, and women to achieve their full potential by providing opportunities to help them succeed through any difficulty or crisis they may be experiencing at the moment and give them hope and tools for life through Christ.

Our Impact

Hope Home
Chance International Outreach, located in Monrovia, Liberia, currently houses 42 women and 10 children with safe shelter, food, and hygiene kits.
They have the opportunity to enroll in an education program to learn an employable skill. Current opportunities include, but are not limited to:

  • tailoring
  • hairdressing
  • baking
  • soap making

We emphasize the value of education to break generational barriers to learning. Biblical teaching and Scripture are incorporated into everyday life, helping participants grow in their faith while developing knowledge and skills that can strengthen their lives and families.

With Hope Home currently at capacity, young women from the surrounding community come during the day for food, hygiene supplies, and worship services.

Access to Water
We are excited to announce that access to clean water is being developed on the property, thanks to our generous donors who made it possible.

Long-term Vision
As the ministry grows, Chance International Outreach is developing 15 acres of land outside Kakata into a permanent home and community resource center. Construction has begun on a new building that will allow Hope Home to expand, serving more women and children.

The long-term vision is to create a village to serve women and children as well as the surrounding community by offering:

  • Dormitories serving as a safe shelter for young women and children in crisis
  • School
  • Chapel
  • Medical clinic

The school, chapel, and clinic will serve families in the surrounding community, where people currently walk long distances to access medical care and other essential resources.
