A helping hand to those in need with the love of Christ in East Africa
Our Story
Square Ministries Africa, initiated in 2016 by Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Mukeshimana and founding board members, was created to extend Christ’s love to vulnerable communities. Beginning in Uganda, the mission is to expand its outreach to the entire East African region, including Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, and South Sudan.
As a ministry, we aim to see the church flourish physically and spiritually. We strive to achieve this by offering educational training for pastors and church members. In the wider community, we address key challenges of poverty, healthcare, and caring for the vulnerable.
First, we teach people the word of God from the Bible, then we move on to addressing poverty and offering self-sustainability training.
Primary Objectives
Theology of Work
To provide education and training for church leaders who are committed to reaching the unreached and extending love to those of different faiths, helping them become theologically grounded.
Healthcare & Hospital Outreach
To take care of those who are affected and infected by disease (HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B, kidney failure, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer, etc.) who lack access to help. Our focus is on encouraging positive living while offering home care support and facilitating treatment for those in need.
Poverty Alleviation & Micro-businesses
To promote the development of income-generating activities so that there is continuity of support for children while placing a strong emphasis on the rights of women, children, and young people in the community.
We encourage families through the establishment of small-scale businesses. Some examples may include providing a loan to a young woman for a sewing machine to start a tailoring business or building a pigsty and providing a widow with a pregnant sow to support the beginnings of a pig farm.
We work with families to promote creativity and innovation, that can provide dynamic solutions to dysfunctional homes.
Care for the Vulnerable
To provide help to vulnerable children in the community, through the provision of education, medical, and spiritual services.
We also provide essentials to vulnerable widows and elderly who have little or no support.
